SOLDIERS IN CAMP

Wellington-East Coast Regiment Waipukurau, April 13. The Wellington-East Coast Mounted Rilles are now in camp at Waipukurau racecourse. Colonel A. 8. Wilder, D. 5.0., M.C., is in command, with Captain M. E. Johnston, M.C., N.Z.S.C., as adjutant Other .officers in camp are Captains A. Bongard and Pringle, Lieutenants McAulay, J. Bell, I. Speedy, G. A. Hook, L. N., Hoggard, B. Ballantyne; chaplain, Captain J. Davey (pres.), and St. Troops. The training will consist of mounted troop and squadron drill and machinegun training. The camp breaks up on Saturday.

Mr. G. B. Ward, who has been a member of the staff of the Carterton branch of the Bank of New Zealand for several years has been transferred to Lower Hutt. Prior to bls leaving for Lower Hutt he was met by a number of friends at a farewell evening and presented with a golf bag,
