Mrs P. M. Jaekson was hostess at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday, when the proceedings went with a swni" that was enjoyed to the lull by the guests, wlio were rewarded by many encores ami delightful items. . 'The performers were: Mesilames Collins. G. Castle, 11. Dunn. Britton, .laci:son. Miss Annie Gilpin, and Messrs. Smith and Williams. Mrs. Collins was at the piano. Light refreshments were dispensed b.v hostess and her helpers. Mr. J. Moore, missioner. spoke on “Who Louin Have Thought It?” in relation to temperance. Mrs. Blair sent prizes that were won incoinpetitions, and Mrs. II- Dunn also sent prizes.
