Mr. Majoribanks, M.P. Loudon. April 4. At the inquest on the late Mr. Edward Majoribanks, Conservative M.P. for Eastbourne, who was found shot dead. Lord Hailsham, in emotional tones, detailed his concern over his stepson's sleeplessness and dejection, causing fears of a nervous breakdown. He recalled Air. Majoribanks saying on March 30 that he had hardly slept for a fortnight. Tlie coroner gave a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind.
