Woman’s Marriage Day CELEBRATED TOO WELL By Telegraph—Press Association. t Auckland, March 26. Married on Thursday forenoon, Elsie Clare Pender, aged 34, spent Thursday night and yesterday in the police cells, and this morning was charged with being deemed an incorrigible rogue. Counsel said'that although she had numerous previous convictions the woman had married a hard-working man who lives in the country. She was celebrating when she was arrested. Mr. Cutten convicted and remanded the woman till April 7 for sentence, remarking that if she left for the country and took out a prohibition order no more would be heard of the matter.
