OUTBOARD RACES

New Zealand Championships Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, January 20. With the late entry of the Auckland boat, Elto, in the New Zealand outboard championships, to be raced on the Wanganui River on Friday in conjunction with the New Zealand speed boat championships, the number of competitors reached eleven, nearly all of which are capable of speeds up to 47 miles per hour. From Wellington the crack boats, Sea Dog, Miss Chief, and Beejax have been entered, and the Auckland entry in this class includes Phar Lap, Png and Elto. Three boats have been entered from Palmerston North, and two from Taranaki.
