British Parliament Adjourns CABINET TO MEET DAILY Official Wireless. Rugby, December 11. Parliament to-day adjourned for the Christmas recess. The motion for the adjournament of the House of Commons provides for reassembly’ on February 2, unless the Speaker, in consultation with the Government, considers that an earlier meeting is required in the public interest. Nevt week a series of Cabinet meetings, the first of which was-held in the Prime Minister’s room at the House of Commons this afternoon, will be devoted to the study of the proposals which the Government will bring before Parliament next year. It is likely that there will be morning and afternoon sessions each day. It is understood that the fiscal policy of the Government will be under discussion. OUTSPOKEN'MR. AMERY Wafits the Hand of a. Master London, December 11. On the motion for the Christmas adjournment till Februray 2, Mr. Amery made another sharp attack on the Ministry for dismissing the House for two months without an indication of policy on urgent matters. The House wanted to feel the hand of the master, instead of this, scuffling behind the curtain. Mr. Lansbury, Leader of the Opposition, moved that the House resume on January 4. The amendment was negatived by 218 votes to 22. , ' A Labour amendment authorising an earlier summoning on the requisition if forty members was negatived by. 208 votes to 17.
