A successful concert was given at the Sailors' Friend Society on Thursday, arranged by the Misses Van Staveren. The repeated requests for encores showed that the men thoroughly appreciated the entertainment. The performers were: —Misses Van Staveren, Webster, Re. Van Staveren, Mclntosh, and Messrs. Archer, Green and Tindell. The Misses Rui Van Staveren, K. Mclntosh and Mr. Archer were at the piano. The wants of the men were attended to at super time by the hostesses and their helpers.
