Receiver Takes Over Line
Vancouver, September 1.
A message from Jacksonville states that the Florida East Coast Railway of 500 miles, founded by the late Henry Flagler, pioneer In the development of Florida, went Into the hands of a receiver today. The line has lost 5,000,000 dollars In its operations since 1928, and was unable to meet the Interest due to-day on 45,000,000 dollars bonds outstanding. The railway Is believed to be a casualty of the deflation of the Florida land boom.
