WORKERS’ CONCERT

About three hundred neople attended at the Lyceum Theatre, Lower Hutt, last night, where a concert arranged by the Wellington General Labourers’ Union was given. The mayor, Mr. W. T. Strand, presided. An address was given by Mr. Butler, secretary of the General Labourers' Union. An apology was received from Mr. Walter Nash, M.P., who was also to deliver an address.

Items were given by Messrs. Clapperton, Clegg, McMillan, Vai Jones, Hart, A. Terriss, H. Hoten, and Miss La Roche. Community singing was indulged in and humorous stories were told by Mr, Strand, Mr. McMillan and Mr. Nicholson.
