OPERA “TANNHAUSER”
To Be Sung in Concert Form CAST FOR WELLINGTON After considerable deliberation the committee of the Royal Wellington Choral Union has decided upon the following cast for Wagner’s great opera “Tann-hausen”-to be sung in concert form for the first time in Wellington in. the Town Hall on September 19: —Elisabeth (soprano), Miss Kate Campion (Auckland) : Tannhauser (tenor). Mr. Alfred Walmsley (Dunedin) ; Walter (tenor). Mr. Edwin Dennis; Wolfram (baritone), Mr Ernest Short: Henrich (tenor). Mr S. Duncan; Hermann (bass), Mr. T. D Williams (Christchurch) ; Biterolf (baritone), Mr. W. Binet Brown; Reinmar (bass). Mr. W. W. Marshall.
