BROOKLYN RELIEF
Work of Committee Relief was given to 252 persons at the Brooklyn-Mornington-Vogeltown depot during last month, it was stated at the last meeting of the district committee. Footwear had been found to be the most difficult commodity to obtain. Those in need had been supplied with food and clothing, and in a few very needy cases coal had been given. The various religious denominations had co-operated in the management of the soup kitchen, where about 80 people were being supplied daily. . The committee decided that in future it wdpld not sunply goods from the depot to children, and parents will have to attend to obtain help. It was reported that people in receipt of pensions were receiving relief, and it was decided that none receiving adequate pensions should be supplied. A further meetinr- of the committee will be held on August 17.
