OBITUARY

Miss H. E. White The death occurred on Monday of Miss Hannah Elizabeth White, aged 63 years. The late Miss White lived for some time at Marton, and her death occurred after a sudden illness contracted after a week-end spent there. She died shortly qfter admission to the Wanganui Public Hospital. Deceased leaves no relatives in New Zealand, but it is believed that there are relations in England, her home country. Mr. W. Amon Mr. W. Amon, who lived in-the Rangitikei district for about half a century, died yesterday at Plimmerton, where he had resided for the last ten years. He was 70 years of age. The late Mr, Amon came to New Zealand from England about 60 years ago, and went to live with relatives in the Rangitikei district, subsequently purchasing a farm at Glen Oroua. He remained there until about ten years ago, wheu he retired to Plimmerton. A keen bowler, he was one of the founders of the Plimmerton club, and at the time of his death was its president. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge. He is survived by his widow, one son. Mr. lan Amon, and three daughters. Mrs. R. Nimmo, Plimmerton, Mrs. G. Robieson and Mrs. Woodbury. Mrs. G. E. McNeil Mrs. Agnes Mary McNeil, wife of Mr. George E. McNeil, of the firm of J. C. Riddell and Co., died suddenly yesterday morning at her late residence, 24 Disley Street, Kelburn. Born at Galashiels. Scotland, 52 years ago, she was a daughter of the headmaster of the local school, and prior to her marriage was a school teacher. With her husband she arrived in New Zealand about 20 years ago. and at the time of her death she was a member of the Kelburn Presbyterian Church. The late Mrs. McNeil is survived by her-husband and two sons, Mr. Alexander McNeil, Khandallab, and Mr. G. McNeil. Wellington. Miss Ida Perry 'The death occurred at Ne)son yesterday morning of Miss Ida Perry, states a “Dominion” Special Service message. Deceased was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. Walter Perry, and was well known in the Wairarana, having resided nt Masterton before taking up her residence at Nelson.
