A NEW MINISTER
Church of Christ Appointment
After a ministry extending over two years and a half, Mr. W. M. Garner, of the Petone and Lower Hutt Church of Christ, has accepted a call to Onehunga. He has already left to take up his duties. He is succeeded by Mr. Greenwood. Mr. Garner was very popular among the members of his church, and highly esteemed by the ministers of the various other churches in the Hutt valley. A social held at Petone to bid him farewell was attended by a large number of people representative not alone of his own church but of other churches besides. Presentations were made to him and to Mrs. Garner, and best wishes extended for their future welfare.
Addresses of appreciation were made by ministers of the various denominations. Musical and elocutionary items were given, and supper was served.
Mr. Greenwood commenced his duties on Sunday, and last night he was welcomed by church members at a social held In Petone.
