Mr. R. W. Roydhouse, chairman, and Mr. N. C. C. Shepherd, secretary, have been appointed AVairarapa Automobile Association delegates to the North Island Motor Union conference at Hawera on August 21. Mr. F. Silver, of the Scottish Harrier Club, Wellington, will be a visitor to Wanganui at the week-end. Mr. R. G. Taiboys, Wanganui, is visiting Dunedin. Mr. R. F. Beetham, Masterton, is visiting Wanganui. * ' Mr. L. Cowan, Dannevirke, is a visitor to Wanganui. Miss E. S. Bulliman, Waikanae. is the guest of her cousin. Miss M. Shailer, Palmerston North. Mrs. J. E. Gillespie has returned to Wellington after a visit to Wanganui. Wing-Commander S. Grant-Dalton will yisit Wanganui and New Plymouth next Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. L. P. Travers! Wanganui, is visiting Auckland. Mr. B. C. McCabe, chief draughtsman in the office of the Lands and Survey Department. New Plymouth, Jias been promoted to the position of chief surveyor and Commissioner of Crown Lands at Invercargill.
