REFORM LEAGUE MEETINGS

An enthusiastic and well-attended meeting of Auckland East electors was held at the residence of Mrs. M. Mcßeth, Gillies Avenue, Epsom. Mr. E. F. Hoekly, M.P., gave an interesting address on organisation and the present political situation, at the conclusion of which he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Supper brought the evening to a close. The Auckland Women’s Committee executive met in the League Rooms on Tuesday, Dr. Hilda Northcroft presiding. Current political matters were discussed, and the report and balance-sheet for the general annual meeting approved. Keen regret was expressed at the departure of Dr. Hilda Northcroft from New Zealand for an extended tour.
