HOSPITAL CONCERT

Nursing Staff Entertains An enjoyable plain and fancy dress concert and narade was given to the patients of the womens ward at the Victoria Hospital by members of the nursing staff on Saturday evening. Appropriate to the many items, the costuming wjs excellent, the comical dress especially coming in for much

praise. Included in the lengthy programme was a Maori poi dance, which was executed in splendid fashion. , Mandolin and pianoforte solos, songs, a sketch, “Wanted, a Wife," carried the programme through, each item being received enthusiastically. Included among the many visitors were Miss Cookson, lady superintendent, doctors,’and nursing sisters. A hearty vote of thanks was extended to the performers by Mr. Cedric Campbell, who spoke on behalf of the matron, Sister Bradshaw, and patients.
