Interviewed by “The Dominion” yesterday, Mr. S. Patrick, vice-president of the Drapers’, Clothiers’, and Boot Federation, said that a meeting of the federation’s advisory board had been held that morning but the question had not been raised. “I have- not yet gone into the position. but. I should say that the decision of the department will not make very much difference,” Mr. Patrick said. Tie added that nine out of ten hats bought were unlined. “It is not causing any stir in our concern,” was the only comment the manager of one of the largest departmental stores in Wellington had to make when asked for his opinion.
