Machine-guns Against Chinese Toluo, July 2. A party of 500 Chinese, assisted by Chinese police, attempted to disperse 200 Koreans—Japanese subjects—who were constructing an irrigation channel near Chang Huu. Japanese police kept the Chinese at bay, helped by reinforcements with a machine-gun. Negotiations are ensuing. The incident further complicates the Manchurian situation, which already { is grave. 1
