PETONE CENTRAL SCHOOL
New Classroom Opened A new room for special classes was officially opened at the Petone Central School yesterday by the mayor, Mr. D. McKenzie. There were about fifty people present, including Mr. Walter Nash, M.P., Mr. J. Stonehouse, representing the Wellington Education Board, Mr. O. Silbery, chairman of the school committee, and Mr. Moore, headmaster. Apologies for absence were received from Mr. T. Forsyth, chairman of the Wellington Education Board, and Mr. W. Dyer, who, with Mr. Stonehouse, represents the Hutt Valley on the board. The room, which is on a section connected with the main school ground, Is well ventilated, has sliding glass doors, and a big porch.
