BROKER’S PESSIMISM

Death of New Zealander \ — London, May 29. An inquest was held on a New Zealander, Graham Stewart Craig, aged 33, a stockbroker, who formerly lived in Sydney, whose body was found coatless in the Thames. The pockets contained £4 in notes. An official of the Bank of New Zea land, in evidence, stated that Craig was a client of tlie bank. He was independent and had a credit balance. Apparently he was eccentric. His chief hobby was political economy, and he was decidedly pessimistic regarding financial matters. An open verdict was returned. It is understood that the late Mr. Craig until fairly recently resided in Auckland, ■fifier;' he was in business as a stockbroker.
