SUBMARINE DISASTER

Soviet Press Hides Facts Stockholm, May 29. Although the Russian submarine Tovarlsh, which sank in the Baltic on May 26, has apparently been found, the Soviet Press is concealing the disaster. The papers do not contain a single line dealing with it. Dragging operations have stopped, and live red buoys mark the scene of the catastrophe. An aeroplane, presumably participating in the Soviet Baltic manoeuvres, crashed into the sea near Oesel, leaving no trace.
