Christchurch Dispute

SETTLEMENT LIKELY

The conference between the Christchurch Tramway Board and the Christchurch Tramways Union, which was summoned to consider the industrial dispute to-day, has been postponed. The Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. P. Hally, who was to have acted as chairman at the conference, stated in Wellington last evening that mutual proposals had been made by the parties, and there were prospects of an agreement.
