Through the branch of a tree having been placed across the road, a motor cyclist, William Cutlibet, of Waipukurau. met with an accident on Saturday night. While returning to Wanstead, where he Is employed, Cuthbert struck the branch with some force with the result that he lay unconscious till picked up by a passing motorist. He was admitted to the Waipukurau Public Hospital suffering from concussion and severe abrasions.
