SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Despite the heavy rain, there was a large audience to meet Mr. and Mrs. J. w\Carr at their popular concert for seafarers on Thursday at. the Sailors’ Friend Society. The performers were Mrs. Wilfred Andrews, Misses K. Congreve, V. Carr, Alcheson, Jacobson, Messrs. J. W. Carr, D. G. Bennett, R. Carr, G. Bennett, Lough. Stuart, Sallen, and Harbour. Mr. J. W. Carr was at the piano. Amusing competitions aroused keen enthusiasm. The prizes came from the host and hostess and went to the Tamaroa, Somerset and Middlesex. •
