LONG-SERVICE AWARDS

Choral Union Gold Medals Probably the final occasion on which Mr. G. A. Troup will figure as Mayor of Wellington will be at an interesting gathering which will take place in St. John’s Schoolroom at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday next. The gathering has been arranged by the Royal Wellington Choral Union, which is presenting gold medals of life membership to Messrs. W. E. Caldow (secretary), C. E. Webb and W. H. .Chittey. Mr. Caldow is a foundation member, having been enrolled at the initiation of the old Choral Society in 1905. He was assistant secretary for two years and has been secretary for twenty-two years. Mr. C. E. Webb has been a member of the committee for twelve years, five of which he was chairman. Mr. Chittey served the union as treasurer for a term of fifteen years.
