April Customs Returns FOUR MONTHS’ DECLINE Figures for Wellington The net Custome revenue collected at the port of Wellington last month totalled £181,404 as against £208,613 for April, 1930, a decrease of £27,209. For the four months of this year the revenue was £817,079, against £980,640, a decrease of £163,561. The duty collected on motor spirit last month was £45,715, as against £35,900 in April last year, an increase of £9815. The figures for the four months are £lBO,832 and £134,871, respectively, an increase of £45,961. Collections of tire tax last month totalled £2510, as against £3138 for the corresponding month last year, a, decrease of £628. For the four months a decrease of £1954 is recorded, the figures being £8989 and £10,943, respectively. Beer Duty. v Beer excise collections for April were £4904, against £5192, a decrease of £2BB. For the four months the figures, are £lB,100 and £19,590 respectively, a decrease of £1490.
