Mr. Luckie a Candidate

Last week a deputation waited on Mr. Martin Luckie and presented to him a numerously-signed petition asking him to stand for the Mayoralty. Air. Luckie deferred his reply until vesterdav, when he informed the leaders of the deputation that he would offer himself as a candidate. The election will be held on Alay 6. Mr Luckie is a member of the legal firm of Field, Luckie, and AVlren. He has been a member of the City Council since April, 1913, and Deputy-Alayor as well during the last four years. He has also been chairman of the by-laws committee and lias acted on the reserves, milk and finance committees of the council.
