BLOODSHED IN DIET

Communists Seek Vengeance (Rec. March 19, 5.5 p.m.) Berlin, March 19. When the Hamburg Diet assembled, Communist deputies placed a huge redribboned wreath of red flowers on Councillor Henning’s former seat. Then, before the President could open the session, they hurled themseleves on the Nazis. A furious hand-to-hand fight resulted, the Nazis being outnumbered. After some bloodshed, the police restored order. The President suspended seven Communists for from one to two months. Henning was murdered by Nazi party members while journeying home in a crowded midnight bus.
