Afforestation Work SURPLUS FROM LAST YEAR The work of the afforestation officer on the Akatarawa block has been attended -with excellent results, states the city engineer (Mr. G. A. Hart), in his annual report to the Wellington City and Suburban Water Board yesterday. With a note to the effect that the city treasurer anticipated a credit balance of £l7OO on the years working, Mr. Halt presented the estimates. . , The expendture is estimated at £3415 10/-, and the revenue at £lo6B. The board decided against any further purchases of land in the meantime.
