MANUFACTURERS MEET

Wellington * Association At a meeting of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association executive on Tuesday, a letter was received from the Wellington Employers’ Association inviting the Manufacturers’ Association to send a delegate to a meeting to be held on March 18 for the purpose of nominating an employers’ representative on the Board of Governors of the Wellington Technical College to fill the’ vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. L. R. Partridge. It was resolved that the nomination of Mr. J. Pearce Luke be supported. The president was appointed to represent the association at the meeting with the Employers’ Association. The matter of the date of the next Winter Show was left in the hands of the association’s representatives on the Winter Show committee to arrange for suitable dates that would not clash with either the Auckland or the Canterbury shows. On the motion of Mr. T. Cathie, seconded by Mr. J. Abel, it was resolved to remit all subscription fees of Napier and Hastings members, for the current year, and in the case of those who had already paid their subscriptions these to be credited for the year 1931-32.
