UNFAIR PACKING

Orchardist Fined £4 A charge of unfairly packing fruit for sale was preferred against Marino Borich. orchardist, of Orillia, in the Auckland Police Court on Monday. An inspector of orchards and gardens said defendant sent a consignment of four cases of peaches and five cases of apples to the City Markets. The cases were very badly “topped” and in the opinion of witness the packing was intentionally deceptive. ’ Defendant was fined £4 and costs.
