Old Man Who Wants Help A good story of an old man who feels genuinely hurt because his "young brother” will not help him now that he is feeling the pinch of the times is told by an' Auckland social worker, says the “Star.” Tho man is 86 years of age, and lost all his savings in an unprofitable venture. In asking the social worker whether he could compel his brother to assist him, the old fellow said that he had helped the “young beggar’’ through his college course. “I’m too proud to take the old age pension, and my brother is receiving a bigger income than I am," he said. When inquiries were made, it was found that the young brother is 64, and is in receipt of 17/6 per week, old age pension !
