In the Sheffield Shield cricket match against New South Wales, Victoria in the first innings made 318. Bowling, McCabe took 4 for 46 and Fairfax 2 for 68. New South Wales in the second innings lost four wickets for 382; Bradman, not out 208; Wendel Bill, not out 100. New South Wales went for runs today, as defeat in this match excludes them' from winning the shield. Bradman was in inimitable style, and with Bill put on 100 in 66 minutes. Bill was particularly aggressive. IRONMONGER’S HIT In the Inter-State cricket match New South Wales v. Victoria at Sydney yesterday, Ironmonger hit the very first ball clean out of the ground.
