GOVERNOR SWORN IN
Ceremony at Cape Town
EARL WARMLY WELCOMED Cape Town, January 26. The Earl of Clarendon was warmly welcomed at Cape Town on his arrival this morning, when he was sworn-in as Governor-General. The Press emphasises that he is the first Governor-General of the Union of South Africa appointed solely on the recommendation of the South African Government without the intervention of the British Government.
