Cotton Industry Dispute
EMPLOYEES ARE ADAMANT (Rec. January 27, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless. Rugby, January 26. Although a ballot of the Weavers’ Amalgamation resulted in the rejection by 90,000 votes to 45,000 of a motion giving negotiating powers to its executive in Lancashire, the cotton dispute officials of the Ministry of Labour are continuing their efforts to effect a settlement, and are to-day in touch with both sides to the dispute.
