Felldlng, January 26. Mr. G. V; Wild, who has ben on the staff of the Felldlng Agricultural High School for the past eight years, left Feildin gthls afternoon for Auckland, having received an appointment at the Auckland Training College. ■ Mr. Wild was cricket coach at the High School, and holds the record—l 72 runs—for highest individual score in local senior grade games. On ’Saturday the first round of the Pahiatua senior, grade cricket fixtures was concluded, Colyton defeating Public Service 'and Old Bpys-defeating Felldlng. So far Old Boys, Colyton, and Public Service have each won three games. Felldlng has not ye twon a game. The Oroua Bowling Club's challenge rink—Simpson, McLean, Aitken, Ingram (s.)— played Woodville’s Dixon Cup holders on Saturday for the trophy, the holders winhing by 22 points to 16. The game was played on tlie Woodville green. Patty Sperle. Betty Harford, and M. C. Eade left Feilding this afternoon for Ashburton, to compete in the Ned Zealand amateur swimming championships. Mr. H. Parsonage, coach, accotmianies the team. Great things are expected of Patty 'Sperle, who competed with marked success at Wellington this month.
