Union Club “At Home” /

The Wanganui Union Boat Club held a most successful “at home” on Saturday afternoon when a series of sprint fours, and a tub competition were held. Large entries were received for the events, and close finishes were the order of the afternoon. A inlxd pair oar event added a novelty touch, and although entries for this, did not come up to previous occasions, it proved most popular. The final ot the sprint fours was by T. Aitchison's crew, while the tub race final was won by E. Crysell. The mixed pair oar final went to Miss Willetts, and S. Henley. r The following are the detailed results: — Sprint Fours. First round: S. Healey beat A. Smith ■and.W. Kruse; A. Tonks beat T. Ditchfield and H. Ryland; T. Aitchison beat E. Gullery and R. Cutclll; M. Clay beat E. Crysell and D. Thomson. Second round; Healey beat Tonks; Aitchison beat Clay. Final: Aitchison beat Healey. The crews were: T. Aitchison' (stroke), R. Lampitt, W. Hasler,ft D. McGonigle (bow); S. Healey (stroke), O.
