About the Province A party ot 24 members of the Wairarapa Trumping Club climbed Mount Holdsworth at the week-tnd. The party spent Saturday night at the mountain hut, and reached the summit early enough the following morning to see the run rise. Visibility was exceptionally good. Realising that farmers never bad more need of a strong organisation than in tie present difficult days, the Farmers’ Union is very active at present. Mr. R. Livingstone, who was recently appointed area officer to the unions from Poverty Bay to the Wairarapa, has been working in the latter district for some days past; and has succeeded in adding to the membership. Accompanied by the provincial secretary of the . union, Mr. J.. Watson, he . visited Greytown and addressed a-meeting of farmers there. He will address meetings at Featherston and Carterton.
