“OVRA” IS REVEALED
Italian Secret Police DRAMATIC METHODS (Hee. December 10, 11.55 pan.) Koine, December 9. A recent round-up of anti-Fascists has revealed the existence of a new body of political police known as the Ovra which is working directly under
the Ministry of the Interior, of which Signor Mussolini is the head. The Ovra’s agents range from society people to porters. All are pledged to secrecy. Tiie newspaper “La Tribuna” says: “The Ovra steps in before crimes are committed, Instead
of afterward. It is silent aud sudden, and its arrests are followed by trial at special tribunals. There is nothing more to be said.”
