It was reported to the Upper Hutt Borough Council at its meeting recently that during the last fortnight two cases of diphtheria and one of scarlet fever had been investigated by the borough inspector. There was a large attendance in the Wilford School grounds. Petone. on Saturday afternoon, when a physical culture display was giVfm by the pupils under the direction of Miss' Hunn. The chairman of the school committee welcomed the headmaster, Mr. Marryatt, and the assistant master, Mr. Haggett.
