CHRISTMAS PARTIES

Both children and adults were entertained by the Radiant Health Club on Saturday last. In the afternoon the children had a happy time in the Caledonian Hall. After playing games the pupils of Miss Hazel Martin and Miss Marjorie Buckeridge entertained the kiddies, and then Father Christmas entered by the chimney (specially designed by Mrs. Bert Rose) and brought toys as presents for each child, the occasion being acclaimed with shouts of joy. The children had a competition of hats (of which Geary donated a number), and Mrs. McLean and Mrs. Ritchie gave prizes for the best, those chosen being “Radiant Health,” “Tulip,” “Depression,” and an “Aeroplane.” Mrs. Bennett and her daughters donated a number of toys. In the evening the parents spent. a happy time in the Jewish Ladies’ Club room. Items were given by Mrs. R. T. McLean, Miss Olive Bennett and Mr. J. N. Ritchie. STALE FOOD DANGER.
