GUESTS OF GOVERNOR

Industrial Representatives The Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe entertained at Government House on Saturday afternoon 950 guests, representative of those engaged in the larger industrial establishments of Wellington and adjacent boroughs. The guests were received by their Excellencies on ’ the front lawn, and afternoon tea was served in the ballroom and the loggia adjoining. The band of thr Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve provided music on the lawn, and an orchestra played in the ballroom. Their Excellencies hope to give similar parties while they are in residence at Wellington next year, when representatives of industries not included on the last two occasions will be invited, and also at Government House. Auckland, where two such gatherings were held in May last.
