Dempster’s Lads Do Well BASIN RESERVE TRY-OUT

That C. S. Dempster, the Wellington Cricket Association professional coach, is bringing his charges along well in his first year of office, was proved by the good showing a team of his colts put up at the Basin Reserve yesterday, when they defeated a fairly strong senior eleven organised by E. C. Wiren. The colts has first use of the wicket, and, starting at 10.40 a.m., held possession until 3.30 p.m., by which time they had scored 200 for the loss of seven wickets.
