Question of Patriotism SOUTH AFRICAN DISPUTE Cape Town, November 25. Negotiations between the Voortrekkers Movement and the South African Boy Scout Council for the establishment of an independent South African Boy Scout movement have broken down. The. Voorlrekkers wanted the oath to God and the King changed to “God and tbe Fatherland,” as well as abolishing the use of the Union Jack at camps. The Scouts Council refused, and suggested that, the matter be referred to the Prime Minister, General Hertzog.
