FIRES AND GALE
Six Lives Lost; Many Injured DAMAGE IN CALIFORNIA (Rec. November 23, 11.10 p.m.) Los Angeles, November 22. Six persons were killed and scores were injured when brush and forest fires broke out in several sections. Enormous property damage was caused on Saturday by a wind storm, which swept Southern California. The wind at times reached a velocity of 85 miles an hour. Shipping and aeroplane services were hampered. Fruit orchards were badly damaged.
