By Telegraph.—Press Association
Christchurch, October 31. The challenge from Dr. F. Bennell (Australia) for a race with a New Zealand yacht across the Tasman Sea has lapsed. According to reports made to the Canterbury Sailing and Power Boat Association last night there is a possibility of the event being conducted next year. It was reported that a suitable boat had not been found, but it was intended to have one of the ketch type specially built.
