Fire at Taumarunui
By Telegraph—Press Association. Taumarunui, October 16. Mr. J. Whittaker’s general store and dwelling, bicycle shop, and an empty adjoining shop at Kakahi were destroyed by fire at an early hour yesterday mornWhittaker’s store was insured in the National Insurance Office for fdw, the stock in the Phoenix Office for £ooo, and his furniture in the same office for £2OO. ~The empty shop was owned by Mr. W. Hartley, and was insured in the State Office for £lOO.
