Working in Committee By Telegraph—Press Association. Thames, August 26. A most emphatic protest was registered last night at a meeting of the Thames Rugby Union against the habit of the management committee going into committee to deal with matters affecting players. A delegate, Mr. A. Delamore, stated that matters discussed in committee were common property on the following morning. He objected to this, and informed the union that it had lost the confidence of the players and the public. In a heated reply the chairman, Mr. 11. Murray, declared that he wns sick of tho whole thing. Players wore never so well treated ns this yenr. A lengthy discussion took plnee in committee, the delegate again registering a protest.
