Wairarapa Meeting X Master-toil, July 25. The first meeting of tht year of the Wairarapa Progress League was held today Mr W. L. Free presiding. Tho secretary-organiser, Mr, J. M. McLean, reported that the formation of district committees of the league was proceeding satisfactorily. The Chambers of Commerce in Pongaroa. Eketahuna and Greytown had agreed to act as committees in these towns., in Carterton the following committee had been set uni—Mayor, Mr. W. Eishw, Messrs. D. McGregor, A. Rose, and W. Roydhouse (ex-officio members), L. HBarber (Dairy Association), Broadbent (Borough Council), and Mr. H. Henall. Mr. J. F. Thompson was appointed a vice-president, and Mr. A. D. Low was re-elected auditor. . Messrs. T. Jordan. W. L. Free (president). J. W. A. Fnlloon, T. F. Watson, and G H. Perry were appointed a finance and executive committee. ■ It wns decided to invito the president of the Royal Show, Mr. IV. Perry, to the next meeting of the executive committee to confer with them in regard to stimulating interest in the next Royal Show nt Hustings among Wairarapa farmers.
