Owner Absent Through Illness By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Hastings, June 13. Mr. Neil Bell’s residence at Maraekakaho was totally destroyed by fire to-day. The owner was absent through sickness, and his brother, Mr. Allen Bell, living half a mile away, discovered the building burnt when making one of his occasional visits to see whether all was right. The insurances are as follow: On the building, £800; contents, £7OO, both in the New Zealand insurance Office.
